We boldly go. **Job Summary:** The Field Support Electrification Service Engineer will work as part of the Electrification Technical Service team to provide Installation and Service support to the international field team. The role includes interface between the field team and engineering teams, using knowledge from the field to provide important technical input for existing and new product developments (NPD`s ) with a focus on continual product improvement utilizing the DFS (Design for Service) process and to work out solutions on actual customer problems, together with other internal departments. The role will have strong focus on electrified refrigeration units including their connection to electrified vehicles and energy storage systems. **Responsibilities:** **External** + Contact person for the area service and sales manager as "2nd level support" in technical questions and field problems via remote support and with on-site visits. + Investigation and analysis of failure causes of electrified products and components that were subject of the complaint, development of suitable repair measures in cooperation with engineering and quality department, coordination of repairs in the field, final statement on the measures initiated + Supporting Area Service managers to further develop the international Service and Installation network + Constant monitoring of the service and installation quality of the service and installation partners for compliance with the specified guidelines in cooperation with the market responsible area service managers through regular on-site visits. + Support of new and sample installation either at factory or dealer locations as required. + Organize and follow up field tests and campaigns due to technical changes and adjustments. + Supervision of field tests when introducing new products/components, development of the corresponding documentation + Organizing and carry out installation trainings on electrified products in cooperation with the Area Service Manager (in-house or on site at installation partners). **Internal** + Acting as an interface between the sales / service network and internal departments as well as various internal working groups on technical issues and field problems. + Incorporation of field experience into the development of new products as part of DFS (Design for Service) activities. + Creating, checking, revising and publishing technical documentation (e.g., operating instructions, user manuals, maintenance instructions, installation instructions, technical drawings, circuit diagrams, work schedule catalogue, etc.) and training documents in preparation to share with technical publications department. + Supporting the warranty department in processing complaints by providing input on technical matters. + Technical evaluation of failure statistics with corresponding analysis and continuous improvement measures for the electrified products derived from this. + Initiate and participate in technical change processes + Development of solutions to complex technical problems in cooperation with the R&D department **Qualifications:** + Degree in an Electrical / Electronic / Controls Engineering discipline + Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience with electrified refrigeration units or energy storage systems + High Voltage certified (equivalent to TK Level B+ - working on electric systems under live conditions) + Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, able to function effectively in independent and team-based situations. + Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills + Must be adept at report writing and presenting technical information to a wide audience. + Strong written and oral communication skills required + Hands-on experience on testing and Measurement Equipment’s, Modelling, Circuit Simulation and System Simulation Tools. + F-Gas certified preferred + Onsite Experience preferred **Key Competencies:** + High degree of experience in servicing and installation of systems with included power electronics + Experience in Service and installation of electrified refrigeration unit + Experience in Service and installation of energy storage systems + Good knowledge in mechanics + Good knowledge of refrigeration technology + Good knowledge of spoken and written English + "Hands on" skills + Flexible, motivated, persistent, stress-resistant + Able to learn + Customer and service-oriented work + Willing to travel + Valid category B driver's license + TK Level B+ certification (or equivalent) We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
