Consulting Associate - Merger & Acquisition (Technical and ESG Due Diligence)

As part of our continued growth and innovation of our Sustainability services, ERM Singapore is seeking a motivated Consulting Associate who is interested in participating in a variety of projects to help deliver on increasing demand of Technical, ESG and Merger & Acquisition (M&A) related projects. The candidate may also have exposure to physical and transition risk (Climate Change) projects and Sustainable Finance related projects.

This role is to support expansion of ERM Singapore as the Southeast Asia (SEA) Hub.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supporting project teams on the delivery of a wide range of corporate sustainability/ESG and M&A in Singapore and Southeast Asia

Act as a consultant and contribute to projects under direction from Line Manager or Partners, such as conducting Technical and Environmental Due Diligence, Advisory, Reporting, ESG Raters Support (e.g. CDP, DJSI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, GRESB), among others.

Review, analyse and manage Virtual Data Rooms (VDR) on behalf of the project team.

Perform tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.

Interact and maintain successful relationships with ERM employees and support the project managers and Partners with successful communication with Clients and Subcontractors, where required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualification in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.

Internship experience in an engineering or environmental consultancy, industry or environment focused non-governmental organizations is a plus.

Knowledge of ESG reporting, frameworks, and raters is a plus.

Versatile and fast learner with strong critical thinking skills.

Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work with short deadlines together with the project team.

Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team is essential.

Strong skills with MS Office applications.

Must be able to execute quality work, and ensure high standards are being achieved by yourself and the team.

Excellent report writing skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in any written and spoken Asian language is a plus
