Consulting Engagement Expert
Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Consultant to join a growing and dynamic program to provide consulting support and expertise as part of a client’s back-office modernization effort. You will be interacting with a dynamic team of people with opportunities to learn and grow as you help deliver the overall solution to our client. You will be part of a cross-functional team of analysts helping identify issues, assess processes and strategies, propose solutions, and assist with implementing changes. You will collaborate with other project teams of similar members and expertise, build strong relationships with external stakeholders, and overall demonstrate and present expert guidance and solutions to ensure our clients’ needs are satisfied.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support a cross-functional team to drive a successful outcomes.
• Interact with the government client as a key point of contact for problems and questions.
• Assist with planning and organization of the work for our client.
• Producing high quality deliverables.
• Advise on lessons learned and best practices to support client initiatives.
• Document processes, requirements, user stories, and other documentation that allows the team to create the best possible solution for our client.
• Identify and communicate areas of improvement, business processes findings, potential business opportunities, risks and issues to team leads and management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Our Federal customer requires that all applicants possess US citizenship and be eligible for a Secret level clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred, but will consider additional experience in lieu of education
• 4+ years of project experience related to business process analysis and modernization, re-engineering, or other relevant technology and federal back office operations
• Strong communication skills and comfortable interfacing with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Analytical mindset and high attention to detail
• Experience with using agile methodologies to deliver solutions
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
- Deep understanding of federal back office functions, organizations, and motivations
- Lean Six Sigma, Proscii, or other relevant certifications
- Demonstrated success engaging with customers and demonstrating knowledge and expertise
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $169,700.00.
