Consulting Senior Associate, Water Resources (Entry - Level)

ERM is seeking a Consulting Senior Associate, Water Resources to join our team in Vancouver or Smithers, BC. As part of our integrated water management team (hydrology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, toxicology), you will safely plan and execute field programs and manage and analyze datasets associated with hydrometric monitoring, topographic surveying, water sampling, meteorology monitoring, and geochemical sampling, among others. The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to problem solve technical challenges in remote areas, and prepared to travel to projects across Canada and internationally. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organize and implement monitoring programs, including hydrometric station installation, data logger programming, surveying and streamflow measurement, water sampling.Compile, manage and assess hydrometric, climate, and water quality data.Draft technical reports, or sections of reports, including environmental monitoring, environmental permitting, and impact assessments.

REQUIREMENTS:

B.Sc. or technical diploma in engineering or water sciences. Or equivalent experience.1+ years (2 to 3 years preferred) of experience, including field experience.Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health & Safety protocols.Demonstrated ability to apply a high standard of scientific rigor to all projects and deliverables.Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervisionExperience and interest in field work in remote locations under a variety of weather conditions.Excellent problem-solving skills.Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant – team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and service-oriented mentality.Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. French language skills an asset.

For the Consulting Senior Associate, Water Resources position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $61,908– $69,663 (CAD).  An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.  We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).
