**Department Details**
Work as a consulting technologist in an ever-growing laboratory system, headquartered in the Bismarck region.
Provide regulatory and testing guidance to laboratory clients and clinics in which non-laboratory staff performs testing.
Within the Bismarck main laboratory, there are resources in each specialty who may be relied upon for assistance.
Within the Sanford enterprise, there are experience consulting techs available for information sharing and ideas.
May include up to one overnight each month while conducting site visits.
Will include working shifts in the clinic labs and some areas of the main lab.
May include lab billing duties.
**Job Summary**
Responsible for consulting and providing guidance regarding technical and regulatory issues for laboratories in designated territory. Must also develop relationships in order to build and maintain the client base. Demonstrates patience, kindness, and cooperation with clients and co-workers. May be asked to travel to any laboratory site depending on the needs of the facility and at the discretion of the leadership.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science is required.
Prefer five years’ laboratory experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory. Prior customer service experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must be registered by the American Society of Laboratory Science as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
