As a Consumables Inside Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of direct reports, overseeing their performance, and driving sales initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in meeting and exceeding sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within this critical high-growth segment of the PerkinElmer portfolio.
Location: This is a full-time on-site role in Shelton, CT.
Job Responsibilities
Meet and exceed sales targets and other KPIs including orders and revenue for a $40 million consumables businessEnsure team is generating sales pipeline by meeting outbound sales activity targets including daily phone calls, customer conversations, quote deliveries, and order conversionsSet team direction by developing and executing on data-driven action plans to improve sales performanceWork with manager peers in other regions to share and implement best practicesGenerate and analyze sales reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvements. Utilize data to make informed decisions and drive sales strategies.Assess and optimize the territories of sales reps within your teamManage end-to-end performance of 13 inside sales representatives. Monitor individual and team performance, providing 'real-time' positive or constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to ensure goals are met or exceeded.Coach sales reps on effective selling techniques and provide practical guidance in live coaching and feedback sessionsDevelop training plans to drive better product knowledge, cross functional collaboration, and customer engagementCollaborate with marketing, product management, and customer care teams by providing customer feedback, product requirements, and business opportunitiesClient Relationship Management: Collaborate with the sales team to nurture client relationships, resolve escalated issues, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. Act as a point of contact for key client accounts.Basic Qualifications
5+ years of commercial sales experience2+ years of management experience in a growth driven sales teamExcellent communication skillsProven track record of success achieving sales targetsPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degreeRelevant experience in the analytical instruments & consumables industryRelevant experience in laboratory or field service operationsLeadership experience in sales or field serviceThe annual compensation range for this full-time position is $92,560.00 to $115,000. In addition, a comprehensive Sales Incentive Plan will be included. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
