Job Description

The Latin America Business Unit consists of 28 markets across Latin America and the Caribbean.  The Business Unit is a high growth environment with a strong customer focus and Values driven approach.  Managed from Miami, United States with team members in multiple locations, the Business Unit embraces diversity and is committed to partnering closely with Developmental Licensees to accelerate success.

If you like to explore, invent, inspire, and collaborate – we are looking for a persuasive research expert to help the Latin America Business Unit find and develop better, sharper, more innovative ways to capture consumer insights and business opportunities.

Our Marketing & Insights team is dedicated to uncover and articulate meaningful consumer & business insights that inspire the right growth strategies, tailored media plans, effective advertising and relevant menu plans for the 28 developmental license markets in our business unit.  We are committed to constantly improve the guest experience with the goal of transforming McDonald’s brand perception. Sometimes we adapt methodology from global organization or other markets, but just as often or more, we need to design our own solutions for our DL markets with our business unit by closely being connected and supporting those markets.

We currently have an opportunity for a Consumer & Business Insights Lead in the Marketing Department. This position requires you to lead on insights and influence business strategies for IDL Latin America markets.  You would lead the management of the consumer & business research portfolio and provide consultation to senior management on key initiatives. Additionally, you will co-ordinate and create key presentations for the BU – from Marketing QBR reporting to Phase Planning documents. This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing. Travel to markets and to international business meetings is required frequently.

Responsibilities:

Strengthens the McDonald's brand position in the markets by contributing actively to the development of marketing plans that drive impact.Reviews, develops a POV and provides insights on Business unit performance and opportunities to LABU leadership team.Supports the strategic and tactical development, execution, evaluation and continuous improvement of all consumer research, category analysis and strategic analysis.Presents actionable results to key customers.Aggregates key metrics (Brand Health, P-Mix, pricing, Marketing ROI) across the BU to help develop better insights into business opportunities.Key liaison with McDonald’s consumer research leaders at Global level.Represents the Latin America BU at relevant insights councils and safeguards a strong network with global.Builds strong relationships and fosters teamwork among functional country counterparts, agencies, and suppliers as well as with DL’s or Managing Directors to achieve maximum performance.Generates and communicates clear, compelling, and actionable insights to local teams.Coaches the research staff in the markets, building their technical and influencing skills, and develops them for future opportunities within the system.Manages Marketing QBR, Phase Planning- and performance management process with markets and within the LABU teamSupports on preparation of management presentations, reporting and analysis etc.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (required).Experienced consumer and marketing research professional, skilled in strategic and tactical development from qualitative and quantitative research.Advanced skills in financial analysis, data analysis, and reporting with the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends in large and complex data sets.Must have a proven track record of developing business strategies from business information, leading/consulting with cross-functional teams, and influencing decisions through the use of information.Must be a collaborative and persuasive business leader with the ability to inspire others to accomplish goals through partnership and influence.Highly analytical with an ability to pull data/information from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and tell a story.Familiarity with marketing technology, behavioral data, segmentation and audience creation techniques, media strategy, campaign measurement, attribution and predictive modeling, and trends.Must be able to lead many research/analysis initiatives at the same time.Strong knowledge of business visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
