Consumer Credit Specialist - Consumer Credit Risk Oversight Team

We are looking to hire a Consumer Credit Specialist to support the Consumer Credit Risk Oversight Team within PNC's Credit Risk Management organization. This role is 2LOD credit risk challenge and oversight across retail, small business, and asset management credit team verticals. Primary responsibilities for this role entail identifying external events and delivering forward-views of potential risk impacts to internal credit strategies, loan portfolios, and lending processes. Also primary to the role is responsibility to identify and investigate internal emerging credit risks, trends, and ecosystem impacts by performing account-level reviews and portfolio monitoring. Additional responsibilities exist to provide support across all credit verticals for ad hoc activities to investigate credit risk and support credible challenge. Job Responsibilities: This position will have broad responsibility and strong developmental support across a wide range of credit-focused activities linking external risk events to internal PNC portfolios and lending activities. • External: Daily monitoring and rapid socialization of external news, research, and events that may have credit risk implications to household financial health, credit team verticals, key industry and core market dynamics, and credit portfolio quality and performance. • Internal: Continuous engagement with credit team verticals, their loan portfolios, business priorities, and other dynamic support to effectuate their credible challenge with the lines of business and other risk partners. Account-level review support is central to supporting credit teams and the investigation of emerging risk in portfolios. • Connected Views: Synthesize the external and internal elements above to create a clear and compelling understanding of potential credit risks and trends, pathways of risk outcomes, specific lending ecosystem impacts, and the socialization of those storylines and recommendations to executive and business leadership. • Output: Enable change by preparing professional output and messaging appropriate for the event, risk, and audience via professional newsletters and narrative, real-time event memorandums, and executive presentations. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Preferred locations are listed on the posting. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion. **Job Description** + Analyzes activities associated with applicable business segment, including the credit approval process, policy and procedural compliance and portfolio risk management, credit monitoring, and reporting. + Leverages in depth knowledge of consumer credit policy to ensures adherence to policy. Deploys appropriate monitoring mechanisms of early performance to manage expected outcomes. Maintains consumer credit documentation. + Assesses analytic activities to ensure deep understanding of portfolio issues, trends, and root causes in order to effectively manage the credit portfolios.) + Builds credit transaction models utilized within defined asset class and activity and ensures adherence to model management processes (i.e., model validation, testing, maintenance) by ensuring the appropriate resources are in place to adhere to MRMG guidance. + Follows and recognizes economic, regulatory, and other trends affecting borrowers and initiates relevant analyses, by leveraging key analytic partners, and discussions to determine potential impacts on policy.
