Consumer Experience Manager - Service Center

Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the order fulfillment, inventory, and global shipping of La-Z-Boy parts. This position will lead a team of 3+ Consumer Experience Supervisors and 60+ additional team members. This role is responsible for enhancing the consumer experience through timely and accurate shipping of parts throughout the United States and Canada. This role will be a brand ambassador focused on delivering exceptional customer service. This position will work closely with the contact center, field services, R&D, plant leadership, operations, retail, and residential. Must be self-driven, consumer focused, and able to make quick decisions with limited information.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages and oversees the Global shipping of warranty and non-warranty parts for La-Z-BoyLeads a high performing team to enhance the consumer experience through mentorship, coaching, and developmentPartners with division leaders to lead and positively impact the overall Cost of Quality for the organizationContinually evaluate training needs of the operations department; recommend training as required; follow through to ensure that all required training is achieved; measure results and benefits of training. Continuously evaluate pay structures and ratesPartners with logistics, supply chain partners, and leadership to implement and improve shipping processes while actively managing cost reductionResponsible for the management, cost reduction, and accountability of the Dayton Service Center budget (forecasting for AOP) and explanation of variances with plans to mitigate (expense distribution).Acts as liaison between the Dayton Service Center, other Comfort Care Departments, Dayton Production, dealers, R&D, and suppliers.Ensure active communication within the Consumer Experience SupervisorsDevelops, quantifies, and manages department strategies, policies, and budgets with accountability for each in collaboration with supporting partners.Develops action plans as needed, and successfully communicate those plans to all staff members.Develops, implements, and maintains programs that will improve job efficiency.Accurately align, coach, motivate and train personnel to interface and work as a team; provide cross-training when necessaryDevelop new growth opportunities for staff while supporting current service parts. Manage Dayton Service Center staff to include performance, coaching, and training, employee evaluations, reviews, and development plans.Assist/coordinate and support implementing any cost reduction and service improvement programs through the use of Lean TechniquesRecommend inventory levels to be maintained when a product is obsolete.Monitor ordering of supplies and inventory levels.Report on service and departmental logistics activities to all levels of management.Present department performance indicators and projects at quarterly reviewsActively participate in seminars and training programs to allow for continued growth, development and added value to La-Z-Boy ResidentialSCOPE & IMPACT:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Operations, Supply Chain or related degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience including 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience or equivalentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and WordDemonstrated capability in handling complex problems.Self-motivated to solve problems, keep teams on track, and the ability to adaptAbility to recognize problems and implement process improvementsUp to 20% travel.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Business OperationsExperience in E1 and ASAPSupply Chain leadership experienceExperience in shipping or logisticsExperience working for a remote leader
