Position Overview:
As our new research leader, you'll bring strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of consumer trends to evaluate marketing strategies, branding, and innovation. You'll be responsible for driving strategic decisions and innovation through comprehensive research and analysis. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with a passion for discovery, skilled at synthesizing diverse data sources into actionable business insights, and able to connect knowledge to real-world opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and address the information needs of Marketing & Innovation to provide unbiased, integrated, and actionable insights.Manage multiple quantitative and qualitative research projects with minimal supervision, overseeing all phases from design to presentation.Build and maintain strategic partnerships with leading external research firms such as Euromonitor, Nielsen, and Mintel, and evaluate new research tools and best practices.Consolidate data from various studies to present trends and findings clearly to internal stakeholders and external clients.Identify consumer behaviors, attitudes, and needs through primary research, focusing on CPG packaging solutions across diverse applications.Collaborate with Senior Management to define and manage the annual budget for research initiatives.Internal Partners:

5+ years of hands-on experience in market analysis and consumer research, including quantitative and qualitative methods, third-party databases, and primary consumer research (experience with product and user testing is a plus).Proficiency in drawing insights from diverse data sources and connecting them effectively.Strong business acumen to leverage research in influencing strategic and tactical decisions.Experience with Euromonitor, Nielsen, Mintel, or similar databases is highly preferred.Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel (including Macros & VBA for automation).Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Zoho Analytics).Ability to prioritize and adapt strategies to achieve optimal results.Passion for aligning research and insights with broader business objectives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively across various organizational and cultural contexts.Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.Compensation:
The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. Salary will be determined based on factors including job location, qualifications, experience, and education. Silgan employs a "total compensation approach," considering all elements of compensation, such as base pay, incentives, and benefits, when determining individual compensation.
