Description Robert Half is currently seeking a regulatory compliance specialist for a job opportunity located in the Woodbridge, NJ area. As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. Your role will involve enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business in addition to providing guidance on compliance matters. Responsibilities: • Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks. • Maintain a strong understanding of business process to ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws, rules, and regulations. • Conduct thorough reviews of all materials prior to publication to ensure full compliance. • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies and processes. • Continually update knowledge of relevant banking rules and regulations. • Create presentations and reports for the board as required. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Finance or Business Administration. Previous experience in the banking industry is essential. • Knowledge of banking regulations. • Prior experience in financial auditing is beneficial. • Proficient with Risk Assessment. • Must possess a clear understanding of the three lines of defense in banking • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Proficient with MS Office Suite including MS Power Point and MS Excel. • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification is highly preferred. Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role within the banking industry • Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software • Demonstrated skills in data processing and analysis • Strong understanding of bank relations and the ability to maintain and strengthen them • Knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations in banking • Experience in regulatory compliance and the ability to ensure banking operations adhere to these regulations • Capable of maintaining banking compliance, ensuring all actions are in line with legal and ethical standards.
