Consumer Lending and Tax Preparation Specialist
Adecco is assisting a local client in searching for a versatile and detail-oriented Consumer Lending and Tax Preparation Specialist. This role combines expertise in consumer lending and collections with proficiency in tax preparation. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, managing financial records, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** **Consumer Lending:** + Process and investigate loan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance. + Prepare loan documents for closing, organize loan files, and maintain proper records. + Process deferments, due date changes, and adjustments to loan terms. + Manage loan servicing and documentation, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. **Tax Preparation:** + Input financial data into tax return software or databases. + Prepare and file tax documents with relevant agencies, including the IRS and state/local governments. + Ensure compliance with all federal and state tax regulations. + Respond to tax-related inquiries and provide assistance to customers as needed. **Collections and Delinquency Control:** + Manage delinquent accounts through written communications, phone calls, and field visits. + File legal actions, bankruptcy petitions, and manage charged-off accounts. + Develop and implement strategies to reduce delinquency rates while maintaining positive customer relationships. **Business Development:** + Support the branch in achieving monthly business volume goals. + Solicit existing and former customers via phone, mail, and in-person interactions. + Develop new business opportunities through referrals and competitor networks. **Administrative Functions:** + Handle cash drawer operations, including processing payments and making daily deposits. + Process counter payments, mail payments, and maintain records of transactions. + Perform system maintenance, including daily backups and software updates. + Manage correspondence, including turndown notices, paid-out loan papers, and customer communications. **Requirements and Skills:** + In-depth knowledge of consumer lending, collections, credit services, and tax laws. + Proficiency with accounting procedures, ten-key calculators, and computer systems. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle heavy workflows and meet deadlines. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. + Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts constructively. + Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. + Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to achieving branch goals. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Prior experience in tax preparation, consumer lending, or a related field. + Familiarity with loan servicing software and tax preparation tools. + Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements for lending and tax services. **Work Environment:** This role requires a mix of administrative tasks, customer interactions, and occasional travel for collections and business development purposes. **How to Apply:** If you are passionate about helping customers, adept at financial processes, and eager to contribute to a growing team, please submit your resume and a cover letter highlighting your experience and qualifications for this position. **Pay Details:** $16.00 to $18.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
