Contact Lens Fitter Technician - Cumming, GA

The successful candidate hired for this position will be joining our Cumming team.  

As a Contact Lens Fitter/ Ophthalmic Technician, your primary duties include, but are not limited to,

• Performs basic diagnostic tests accurately and in a way that instills patient confidence
• Assist physician or optometrist with clinical procedures, administers eye drops and oral
medications and inserts and removes contacts
• Triages patients appropriately based on appointment time and acuity of problem prepares patient
for doctor and maintains smooth, efficient flow throughout clinic
• Must be able to travel between offices as needed to staff other clinics.

• Accurately test patients distance acuity, near acuity, confrontation visual fields, stereo and color
testing
• Perform lensometry on singe, bifocal, and progressive lenses as well as transposition accurately
with minimal guidance
• Able to perform Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer accurately

Minimum Education Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.


Minimum Background Requirements
• Complete MEC Training Program
• Experience Preferred
• Certification not required
