Position Overview:

The Care for Business Marketing team is in search of a creative, strategic, performance-driven Content Director who will be focused on developing B2B and B2C content (strategizing, copywriting, and editing). The person in this role will excel at developing content that aligns to business goals, engages customers, and drives growth across various channels including email, print, web, social media, video, whitepapers, webinars, and more. 

What You’ll Do:

Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy for Care for Business based on business goals and unique audiences Deeply understand our target audiences and translate needs and preferences into content that increases brand awareness, inspires action, and resonates throughout the customer journey Oversee internal and external content creators/copywriters—ensuring content is concise, action-oriented, of high quality, and on-brand Develop KPIs and metrics to measure content performance and connect back to business impact; regularly report out on the impact of content initiatives Create and manage an annual content calendar, collaborating cross-functionally with Communications and Content teams as necessary Brief design and copywriting agencies and edit content to ensure it meets and exceeds the expectations of the Care for Business brand  Stay educated on the latest content trends and consumer behavior Collaborate with Communications team on social media, executive thought leadership,  influencer marketing, and leveraging media coverage in our owned channels Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Sales teams on social selling content Build strategic messaging framework and marketing collateral to support sales Influence web infrastructure and content hierarchy to achieve business objectives and KPIs Manage content budget and timelines, ensuring all milestones are met

Who You Are:

8-10 years of experience in editorial and content marketing Experience managing a team of content creators/copywriters  BA/BS degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field is preferred Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Ability to dive into content performance metrics, draw conclusions, and make optimizations Familiarity with martech and analytics tools (WordPress, Google Suite) Understanding of SEO best practices Puts audience first – start and build with a user-centered mindset Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment; takes initiative and ownership Operates with a bias for action—challenges the status quo by continuously innovating and improving Change agent with high adaptability; a test, learn, experimentation mindset Strong influencing and communication skills with ability to work with senior management and partners across the organization Strong organizational and follow-up skills Bonus for experience in publishing or employee benefits

Salary Range:  $152,000-$170,000 + 15% annual performance bonus

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
