Role Description: As a content editor for Homes.com, you'll be an integral part of a growing editorial team creating stories that give buyers a window into the lifestyle and vibe of neighborhoods around the country as they shop for their new homes.
To succeed in this role, you must be an experienced people manager, a meticulous editor, a creative problem solver, and a terrific communicator with a sharp eye. Teamwork is a critical piece of our culture and a key to our success, so a
collaborative and adaptable attitude is a must.
Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor a team of writers on their research, reporting and writing.Edit content to enhance the overall storytelling and ensure that the overall voice, style and flow is consistent to the Homes.com brand vision.Identify quality concerns and provide writers with clear, helpful feedback on how to improve.Assign work and help writers prioritize and troubleshoot assignments.Set clear production and quality standards and manage your team to meet them.Monitor team productivity and score work for quality.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, Marketing, Communications from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.A track record of commitment to prior employers.5-10 years of professional editing experience3-5 years of professional experience as a people managerKey Attributes For Success:
