Content Editor - Pharmacy Technician

***This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in office per week at our Indianapolis, IN office location.***

Summary of Position

Under little supervision, the Content Editor enters and manages drug and medical device content and pricing data for use in our Medi-Span product offering. Understands key business drivers, builds knowledge of the company, processes, and customers, and is also responsible for peer reviewing the work of others on their team. The Content Editor assists with training, identifies, and helps mitigate process and policy issues, and is identified as a subject matter expert (SME) in their content area. This includes the conception, design, troubleshooting, and testing of new or enhanced system processes. This SME has good cross-functional relationship building skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Adheres to a strict timeline for processing a high volume of data and information while working independently under pressure of a daily deadline.Analyzes data trends in the market to ensure accurate information is applied to the database.Applies editorial policies and critical thinking throughout content creation.Maintains documentation for historical reference and evidence of editorial decisions.Creates and maintains process and policy documentation and acts as a Subject Matter Expert for external customer documentation manuals as it pertains to their role.Troubleshoots data inconsistencies and database errors to resolve program errors.Adapts to frequent changes in workload and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.Displays flexibility, patience, organization, and professionalism.Maintains professional relationship within the company and with outside business contacts such as customers.Performs a variety of duties with interruptions and/or distractions.Performs quality analysis on data entered by peers.Plans and implements training for new employees as well as re-training for existing team members.Troubleshoots customer issues and customer support inquiries.Plans, tests, and implements process improvement ideas with the help of Editorial Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field or equivalent experience (2+ years’ experience with drug data in place of a degree including pharmacy technician experience).

Required Experience:

2+ years’ experience working with drug data (pharmacy technician experience preferred)Strong time-management - proven ability to work under strict deadlines.Strong attention to detail and analysis skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.Superior data entry timeliness and quality

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience, preferredAbility to work in a team environment as well as independently.Effective written and verbal communication skills
