**Introduction**
IBM Think is IBM’s omnichannel media and events hub, bringing together content that generates awareness, engagement, impact and new digital relationships with visitors and clients. We’re building a team of creators, writers, journalists and technologists who can help people better understand and successfully adopt emerging technologies. We’ll do this by producing exclusive, high-quality content—explainers, feature articles, thought leadership, industry news and analysis, podcasts, newsletters, tutorials, demos and more—that help visitors make sense of new technologies and new ways of working, and connect them to the ways that IBM can help.
**Your role and responsibilities**
As an Editor/Writer, you will join a small team of editors responsible for the quality assurance of copy on IBM.com, including IBM Think, ensuring clarity, accuracy and alignment with IBM style and editorial standards.
This team sits within a broader team of writers who create SEO-driven content. The pace of this work fluctuates, so we are looking for someone who is an excellent editor but can also take on light writing tasks, such as refining product descriptions or optimizing the SEO of a web page by using Clearscope.
You will work on a variety of content types, including product web pages, blog posts, explainers, news stories and features. This role requires superior attention to detail and a sharp editorial eye to cut and refine content for tone, flow and impact.
The ideal candidate can edit several pages per day, maintain consistency in tone and voice across multiple content types, and is experienced in editing and writing content for digital platforms. This position requires collaboration with writers, strategists and product owners to deliver high-quality, engaging copy that meets both audience and business goals.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* 4+ years of professional editing experience, ideally within digital media, content marketing or journalism
* Proven ability to edit a variety of content types, including product web pages, blog posts, explainers, news stories and features, for tone, clarity and accuracy
* Strong track record of collaborating with various marketing professionals such as writers, web strategists, product owners and designers to refine content for digital platforms
* Superior attention to detail and exceptional command of English grammar, style and tone
* Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Familiarity with the principles of SEO and experience editing for search-optimized content
* Understanding of IT concepts, particularly in the areas of AI, data management, digital automation and cloud computing
* Experience with content management systems (especially Adobe Experience Manager)
