About the Role & Program
Engaging in content management, content strategy, and content business development, the Content Management team is tasked with proactively managing Disney’s portfolio/inventory (which includes Walt Disney Studios, Twentieth Century Studios, Searchlight, ABC News, Freeform, 20th Television, FX, National Geographic and more) on a global basis – primarily with respect to distribution, productions and acquisitions – and delivering continuous and accurate programming and rights information to the Content Sales and Direct To Consumer teams in those efforts.
You will assist with metadata and categorization of our Disney library, for various projects to creatively support content sales teams. The global media landscape is ever-changing, and each day is different, and each project brings its own challenges and rewards, so candidates should come with an open mind and a willingness to be flexible and adaptable as changes occur.
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2025 through August 2025.
What You Will Do
Some potential daily activities with the Content Management team could include:
Sourcing and researching metadata
Categorizing library titles to build out themed Programming Packages
Assisting the Content Management team with creating and distributing our Sales Alerts/Advisories
Contributing to special projects/initiatives focused on research and analysis
Collaborating cross functionally to help support LA Screenings events (dependent on start date)
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience using Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Experience handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience (academic or internship) in international business or related industry
Experience in and/or interest in film and TV and/or media landscape & distribution
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Business, TV/Film, Arts Management, or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2025 through August 2025
Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, California area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
