Overview: The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating compelling digital content that aligns with the INOVALON overall strategic plan, audience needs, and corporate messaging. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer, strategist, and collaborator, and will be passionate about developing results-oriented marketing communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and create digital marketing content to support and drive results for INOVALON marketing campaigns;
• Monitor healthcare industry issues critical to INOVALON customers;
• Stay current with social media, email marketing and content writing best practices, SEO standards, and trends;
• Edit and proofread marketing communications materials and content as assigned;
• Work closely with lead generation and communication staff to create relevant content;
• Create SEO content to ensure web content matches user intent and targeted search engine terms;
• Provide SEO support to Digital team by creating H1 and H2 headers and meta data content;
• Collaborate with Digital team on content optimization for SEO purposes;
• Other duties as requested and/or determined;
• Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
• Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 1+ year(s) of work experience as a copywriter or marketing communications specialist (with a heavy focus on writing), or other similar role;
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills;
• Experience writing for the web and/or social media;
• Knowledge of current SEO best practices, trends and tools;
• Inovalon to communicate effectively across multi-functional departments and teams;
• Inovalon to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment with shifting priorities;
• Interest and willingness to be a team player and assist with overall marketing needs and projects;
• Experience in a B2B environment is a plus, but not required;
• Skills in WordPress, HTML and Adobe Creative Suite are a plus, but not required;
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but not required;
• Highly organized, detail-oriented skill set; and
• Inovalon to be flexible and work under changing priorities.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism or its equivalent;
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
• Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
• Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
• Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
