Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate core and laboratory courses in mechanical engineering, especially in the area of mechanics and materials. Other responsibilities include coordinating and maintaining course related laboratory equipment, mentoring undergraduate students, K-12 outreach, and developing new pedagogical methods. Minimum Qualifications: Requirements include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation. Preferred Qualifications: Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: Special Message to Applicants: Villanova is a Carnegie-classified doctoral university and the Mechanical Engineering faculty are internationally recognized for their research and teaching. The department has 23 full-time faculty members, approximately 300 undergraduate students, and 150 graduate students.
