What we’re seeking:
The Continuity and Crisis Management Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and plans that ensure the continuity of business operations in the event of a crisis or emergency. They will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to identify potential risks and develop response plans that mitigate the impact of crises and minimize disruptions to business operations. The Specialist will also play a key role in managing crisis situations and providing guidance and support to teams across the organization. In this hybrid role, you will have a defined work location HUB which includes work from home and assigned days in the office set by your manager. The HUB for this role will be in either Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; or Fort Wayne, IN.

In this role, you'll need experience in continuity and crisis management to provide regional and national coverage for emergency response center events, business continuity plan management, threat monitoring, and labor contingency planning. What you’ll do:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive business continuity plan to ensure the organization can continue to operate in the event of a crisis or emergency situationIdentify potential risks and threats to the organization and develop mitigation strategiesConduct threat analysis and assessments, and send notifications using the company’s emergency notification platformManage the travel risk program, providing safety and security information to overseas travelersWork closely with business units to ensure that they are prepared to respond to potential disruptions to their operationsDevelop and deliver training programs to educate employees on the business continuity plan and their roles and responsibilities in the event of a crisis or emergencyServe as the primary point of contact for crisis management and work closely with internal teams to manage crises and minimize their impact on the organizationDevelop and implement crisis communication plans to ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed during a crisis situationContinuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization's business continuity and crisis management plans

What background you should have:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, or a related field or at least 3 years of experience in business continuity, crisis management, or a related fieldCertification in business continuity or crisis management (e.g. CPCP, MBCI, MBCP, ABCP, ITIL, CBRM, or CEM) is strongly preferredStrong knowledge and use of SharePoint and Microsoft Office SuiteProficiency in Microsoft Excel including PivotTable, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functionsStrong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategiesKnowledge of industry best practices for business continuity and crisis managementDevelopment and creation of crisis management playbooksUse of Business Continuity software and threat intelligence technology platforms such as AlertMedia, Dataminr
Working Conditions:
The Continuity, and Crisis Management Specialist will work in a hybrid remote/office setting with regular business hours but may be required to work extended hours or be on call during crisis situations.
