Continuous Improvement 2025 Summer Intern

Salary Nonexempt - security (United States of America)

The Continuous Improvement Intern will be part of the CI team and collaborate with operations while being responsible for tracking and analyzing performance data, supporting continuous improvement efforts, assisting with business and operational transformation events, and other tasks as assigned.  The role will focus on optimizing business results to support loss elimination across the enterprise.   At the close of the internship, project learnings, findings, and any recommendations will be presented to Senior Leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Operations, Supply Chain, or related fields with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to disseminate information.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and present findings to management.

Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. 

Experience conducting and leading data analysis and working with reporting tools and datasets.

US citizen or permanent resident.

Typical Intern Activities:

Develop documentation of current procedures, processes, and work standards.

Working with stakeholders to develop the project plans and collaborating with project teams and leaders to execute those plans.

Assisting in the improvement and development of our team SharePoint site.

Document as-is, current-state, and map-out future state business processes to guide continuous improvement work.

Assess and rebrand site documentation and standards.   

Assist in the developing data dashboards and visualizing metrics.
