Job DescriptionWHAT IS THE ROLE?
As the Business Excellence (Continuous Improvement) Lead for the Allied Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and implementing process enhancements and efficiency improvements to realize Allied’s Vision, Long-Term goals, and annual priorities.
You, along with the Vice President of Supply Chain and Business Excellence, will align with the Allied Executive Leadership Team (AELT) to develop a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and root-cause-counter-measures. You will focus on organization-wide problem-solving skill development, broad employee engagement with continuous improvement projects, and accomplishing the annual priorities and goals.
This role requires change management skills and a strong ability to influence through partnership.
WHAT WILL THE JOB LOOK LIKE?
Process Analysis and Improvement:Analyze existing supply chain processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop strategies for improvement in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Lean Manufacturing Principles:Apply Lean methodologies and tools to streamline workflows, reduce lead times, minimize inventory, and optimize resource utilization across the supply chain.Data-Driven Solutions:Utilize data analysis and metrics to identify performance gaps, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive data-backed decision-making for continuous improvement initiatives.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments, including procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to implement improvement plans and ensure alignment with organizational goals.Change Management:Lead change initiatives by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, providing training, and facilitating the adoption of new processes and technologies.Supplier Relationship Improvement:Work with suppliers to enhance processes, improve quality, and drive cost reductions while maintaining strong partnerships and supplier performance.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation of improvement initiatives, prepare reports on progress, achievements, and recommendations for further enhancements.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, APICS) preferred.Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role with a focus on Business Unit Change Management installing a program of continuous Improvement and root-cause-counter-measures.Strong understanding of Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools and techniques. Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of relevant software/tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, statistical analysis software).Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of leading successful improvement projects and driving change management initiatives.OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
