Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will support the site leader in the implementation and enhancement of LEAN principles. This role involves managing visual boards, supporting 5S documentation, participating in improvement events, and providing administrative support for continuous improvement efforts.
ResponsibilitiesManage department visual boards including targets, paretos, and 5S.Provide monthly support for 5S documentation and validation.Participate in improvement events.Offer administrative support for continuous improvement projects across various departments.Focus on process and workstation improvement and standardization.Essential SkillsStrong foundation in LEAN principles.Experience using 5S.Understanding of structured problem solving techniques such as 10-step or DMAIC.Strong organizational skills.Excellent communication skills for collaboration with employees in various roles and departments.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with time studies.Familiarity with modeling software like Vizio or Solidworks.Work Environment
The role typically involves spending 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 50% in the office, with potential for more floor time depending on project requirements. The work schedule is 4x10, Monday-Thursday from 7am to 5pm. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including protective eyewear and safety shoes are required on the manufacturing floor.
