Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the sustainability initiative at the site level, ensuring the achievement of goals set forth by corporate. In addition to sustainability topics, this person will also assist other departments with continuous improvement projects. The goal is to achieve 100% green electricity, 20% avoid and efficiency, and carbon neutrality.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage engineering projects with a strong focus on sustainability, ensuring all initiatives support the company's commitment to reducing environmental impact.Develop and implement project plans that incorporate sustainability principles, emphasizing energy efficiency and resource conservation.Monitor and report on sustainability-related key performance indicators (KPIs) at both machine and plant levels, including tracking energy consumption, identifying energy savings potential, and reporting on the environmental impact.Analyze the energy savings potential of planned engineering measures within the project scope and develop strategies to maximize energy efficiency and resource optimization.Oversee the collection of data on realized energy savings and environmental impacts from completed projects and utilize this data to report on project success and inform future projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into all facets of project planning, execution, and evaluation.Stay abreast of new technologies and practices in sustainability and incorporate meaningful innovations into project plans.Develop and maintain documentation on sustainability practices and outcomes as a reference for stakeholders and as guidance for continuous improvement.Foster a culture of sustainability within the company, inspiring others to integrate eco-friendly practices into their work areas.Assist Operations with annual inventory as needed.Essential Skills3+ years of relevant experience/projects in energy savings and manufacturing-related sustainability projects.Engineering or Environmental Science degree.Experience in data collection and reporting.Process improvement and Lean manufacturing.Project engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsProven experience in managing engineering projects, with a specific focus on sustainability within manufacturing or similar industries.Strong analytical skills with experience in tracking and reporting energy consumption and savings in industrial settings.Knowledge of sustainable energy technologies and practices.Commitment to staying informed on the latest developments in sustainability and environmental impact reduction.Well-organized and self-directed team player that can successfully lead teams.Experience working with international colleagues and/or customers as well as a comfort level reporting in a matrix organization.Work Environment

This role is based in an on-site manufacturing setting. The work environment includes a standard manufacturing facility with the use of various technologies and equipment. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 5% - 10% annual bonus, 3% - 5% annual raise, two weeks of vacation accrued biweekly, up to 80 hours of vacation rollover each year, 16 hours of non-accrued sick time, 48 hours of sick leave annually, six weeks of parental leave, and nine holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $120000.00

5% - 10% Annual Bonus
3% - 5% Annual Raise
It is 2 weeks Vacation, Accrued, 3.08 hours/pay period is biweekly
80 hours can be rolled over each calendar year
Sick Time - Not Accrued, 16 hours, Use it or Lose It
Sick Leave - 48 hours or 6 Days/year, Use it or Lose It - (FMLA, out for extended periods)
6 Weeks Parental Leave Paid off if needed
9 holidays
