Ecolab’s Continuous Improvement Engineer is an individual who works closely with all functions across the Joliet plant. The Continuous Improvement Engineer will lead efforts to automate and digitize data and equipment for the site. You will develop and program systems to enable improvements and growth through a better understand of the in-process KPIs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who will take the time to understand the existing operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and help build and implement a roadmap to manufacturing excellence.

Main Responsibilities
Utilize TPM principles to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost by planning and executing projects while meeting project cost and schedule objectivesProject management of a portfolio on improvement projectsDesign and deploy new solutions for existing outdated data pipelines Proactively make recommendations and identify opportunities to enable manufacturing transformation within manufacturing site Train others in systems, tools, and processes Lead automation of data, processes and analysesMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering2+ years experience in an analytical or business intelligence role, production management role, or project engineering roleExceptional analytical and problem-solving abilitiesOperations financial knowledge and acumenAbility to create, implement, document, and continuously improve processes in a changing environmentProjects demonstrating strong automation mindset Intermediate SQL skills, or another query language Intermediate VBA skills, or another programming language Immigration sponsorship not available for this rolePreferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience in a chemical, food, or related manufacturing environmentTraining or experience in data engineering skills such as ETL, data warehousing, database systems, data analysis, and machine learning Familiarity with TPM tools – primarily AM, PM, and FILean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt CertificationKnowledge of SQL or OSI/AVEVA PI LeanExperience with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure SQL Database Training or experience in data engineering skills such as ETL, data warehousing, database systems, data analysis, and machine learningAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $83,600.00 - $125,400.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.Benefits
