POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for leading the lean initiatives throughout site; develops, analyzes, and continuously improves on methods and other processes, facilitates, trains and mentors employees in the tools and philosophies of Lean Manufacturing.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Develops, analyzes, and continuously improves on methods and other processes with a focus on lean manufacturing. + Educates, trains, and motivates employees to achieve a culture of continuous improvement by conducting workshops and leading teams on lean initiatives. + Develops Value Stream Expertise through current state analysis and future state planning. + Works in conjunction with operations personnel and engineering teams to eliminate waste and variation in our business processes using lean initiatives. + Leads continuous improvement events such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 8-D, Problem Solving and Value Stream Analysis. + Drives cost reduction and tracks savings for the site. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION + Bachelor's degree in quality, manufacturing, or engineering preferred but not required. + Competent with the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. + 3-5 years’ experience in Lean for a manufacturing organization. + Proficient facilitator, team leader and teacher.  Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. + Project management experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT + Position must be ambulatory and works both in an office and plant environment.  + Travel to other site locations up to 20% of the time.
