Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for supporting the continuous improvement initiatives of assembly and test processes, tooling, and work holdings to produce fully finished precision parts for complex fluid control devices used in various applications. They will lead continuous improvement efforts for both processes and products, working within a team environment and cross-functionally with product development and quality engineering teams, as well as with suppliers to ensure products meet customer requirements.

ResponsibilitiesDesign tooling and work holdings using Solid Edge 3D CADUtilize precision gaging/inspection equipment with GD&T principlesRead and understand hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematic diagrams and engineering drawingsProvide production cost estimates for product improvement programsCreate/modify production routers for multiple-step assembly and test production processes and equipment in accordance with ISO 9001 and customer specificationsTroubleshoot complex pneumatic circuits and devicesGenerate operator and maintenance instructions and graphics to support production processesComplete detailed written reports of work completedEssential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering - Manufacturing or MechanicalExperience leading continuous improvement activities - product and process relatedExperience working with machined partsAbility to read and understand hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematic diagrams and engineering drawingsExperience troubleshooting complex pneumatic circuits and devicesDemonstrated leadership experience (experience leading/guiding/training shop personnel)Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience selecting and purchasing equipment and toolsWork Environment

The successful candidate will report to the engineering manager and work on a team of four manufacturing engineers. Typical working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some flexibility. The role involves close collaboration with product development engineers, quality engineers, and operators to ensure efficient manufacturing of products. The work environment includes exposure to machining, assembly, and fabrication processes, and offers a project management component. The role includes 10 days PTO and 6 standard paid holidays, as well as access to Udemy after 6 months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.30/hr.
