Program Overview

Each intern is presented a real business challenge within their group that provides the opportunity to exchange ideas with subject matter experts for optimal learning and development that leads to real solutions. At the end of the internship, our interns get together to showcase their awesome accomplishments during an event we call the “Intern Expo”. But we aren’t ALL business, throughout the intern program our University Relations team hosts exclusive events such as featured executive lunch & learns, plant tours, personal & professional development sessions and intern socials.

 

Your Role

As a Continuous Improvement Intern, you will help assist with the following tasks:

Flow chart current-state processes and identify / eliminate the 8 Wastes Automate and error-proof processes through electronic workflow and other means Document and follow up on team actions from the above two bullets, using the Action Item Tracker Document standard operating procedures using the Acadia software platform Document process flowcharts using Visio software Conduct in-depth data analysis with Microsoft Excel Strive to embrace and lead continuous improvement

 

Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program in Business, Management, or related. Currently a Junior or Senior Project Management experience a plus Well versed in Microsoft Excel data analysis (pivot tables, filters, nested “if” statements)
