The Sikorsky Avionics Product Center plays a vital role, focusing on the manufacture, procurement, and assembly of helicopter electronic boxes and panels, harnesses and other electrical components for critical models, including the CH53K, UH/HH-60M, HH-60W and MH-60R. We are looking for a passionate Continuous Improvement Lead to help drive our mission forward.
THE WORK
As the Continuous Improvement Lead, you will be instrumental in identifying and implementing initiatives that propel our productivity and quality to new heights. You will work across all of Avionics operations and cross-functional support teams.
Your role will involve:
• Delivering ‘CI Framework’ Project Outcomes: Lead the successful execution of our CI framework, ensuring project results align with business objectives.
• Executing CI Events: Facilitate events to pinpoint improvement opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive impactful changes across business areas.
• Championing CI Projects: Lead the adoption of CI trackers, ensuring projects remain on course for successful execution.
• Accelerating Six Sigma best practices.
• Training Teams: Provide training to Operational Excellence Teams (OETs) on Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including PDCA and DIVE techniques.
• Identifying Cost Improvements: Work with teams to recognize and prioritize cost-saving opportunities.
• Standardizing Metrics and Meetings: Establish consistent metrics and agendas for operating framework meetings, coordinating efforts to develop physical structures like 'fishbowls' to support transparent communication and effective problem-solving.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
• Familiar with lean Six Sigma Principles.
• Comprehension of analytical tools, workflow time studies, and project management.
• Familiar with databases, data mining, and data analytics.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills coupled with being a team player.
Desired Skills:
• Familiar with continuous improvement tools: SAP, Solumina, JIRA, & Tableau Dashboards.
• Familiar with SQL, Python, Java or other programing/data mining languages.
• Strong Organization skills including attention to details.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate.
• Previous Sikorsky Operations experience.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
