THE WORK

The Continuous Improvement Lead will play a crucial role in advancing these goals at our Sikorsky Aerostructures Product Center, responsible for the manufacture, procurement, and assembly of helicopter airframe structures. This role, based in Troy, will focus on detail parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and component joining activities to support the UH/HH-60M, HH-60W, MH-60R, and MH-60T programs. The Continuous Improvement Lead will identify and implement changes to improve operational efficiency and productivity, fostering a culture of constant learning and adaptation within the organization.

Additional Responsibilities
• Deliver project outcomes as part of the ‘Continuous Improvement (CI) Framework.’
• Facilitate CI events to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities across business areas.
• Ensure execution of CI projects and promote the adoption of CI tracking systems.
• Lead training sessions for Operations and Engineering Teams (OETs) on Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, and DIVE methodologies.
• Identify and prioritize cost-saving initiatives.
• Establish standard metrics and agendas for operating framework meetings; coordinate with teams to create "fishbowl" and other physical structures for visibility into progress and goals.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Considered an emerging authority.
• Familiar with lean Six Sigma Principles
• Comprehension of analytical tools, workflow time studies, and project management
• Familiar with databases, data mining, and data analytics
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills coupled with being a team player
Desired Skills:
• Familiar with continuous improvement tools: SAP, Solumina, JIRA, & Tableau Dashboards
• Strong Organization skills including attention to details
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
