Continuous Improvement Manager

What’s the job?

Reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a key member of the leadership team Implement Lean / WCM principles/practices to minimize all forms of waste Support factory with all WCM initiatives and internal/external audits, including coaching and mentoring on WCM activities Identify ongoing lean improvement training needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training Responsible to manage, develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive WCM proficiency program for all production employees Training of personnel on methodologies and techniques to drive results (KPI) Foster best practice sharing processes Leads activities in defined area or pillar of responsibility that are aligned with Company objectives Interacts with plant and corporate personnel to secure appropriate resources to plan and implement projects Support WCM and Roofing teams with continuous improvement events Develop, update, and maintain standard work instructions, One Point Lessons, training procedures, manuals, and training documentation for operator proficiency program for all positions and supports supervisors with employee training Ability to carry out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, time studies, and job evaluations Ability to evaluate the current state of operations versus the goal of a future state Serves as 5S Plant Champion & supports 5S throughout the factory Leads Kaizen events for continuous improvement Provide training for employees on continuous improvement methodologies Support the implementation of a formal problem solving system and supervise direct reports as assigned Performs other related duties and responsibilities as needed and / or requested by management.
