Eaton’s Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager. This position is based at our Olean, NY location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, directing and coordinating the Continuous Improvement strategy, which includes deployment, training and mentoring of Eaton Lean System, OpA, and CIF integration. Coordinates and drives cost out for the facility. Aligns all programs to ensure the strategic business initiatives and the daily safety, quality, delivery, productivity and inventory results are achieved.
Act as the on-site Eaton Lean System / Six Sigma expert, trainer and mentor. Drives the development of future state plans, manufacturing strategies, cross-functional processes, and the establishment of uniform policies and procedures. Lead the development and implementation of the site Continuous Improvement Program; define actions and coordinate cross-functional activities. Also, provide Lean and Six Sigma support across the organization to drive short- and long- term business improvements.Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to eliminate waste, driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.Monitor overall plant performance toward plant and division objectives for Cost Out activities, including sourcing, design engineering and labor productivity activities. Work with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance and marketing to identify Lean, Constraint Management and Six Sigma tool application opportunities as input to the profit plan and strategic planning processes.Support and provides guidance to the VSM teams to ensure all A3 actions / active bursts meet business case needs, have established plans to meet completion timelines in the business case and have identified and are monitoring progress of key metrics from the business case.Facilitate kaizen/RIE events as required, especially for more advanced applications of ELSS tools or as part of training new tool facilitators.Support and participate in the Gemba Walk process by developing the schedule and tracking actions for advancement. Track and communicate progress of Olean Continuous improvement deployment through the division and region and interact with other plant Leaders to share best practices.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionMinimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Manufacturing or Operations EnvironmentMinimum of two (2) years' experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational ExcellenceMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering from an accredited institution Six Sigma Green Belt CertificationExperience leading people or project teamsStrong working knowledge of lean concepts and principles. Certified expert in 5S, VSM and standard work.#LI-EE1
