Continuous Improvement Manager

Requisition Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager drives a climate of change by targeting world-class productivity, quality and service through projects, mentorship and control within our Distribution Center (PDC). 


JOB LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities:

Drive continuous improvement throughout the facility by leading mini games, mentoring belts and managing new project proposals. Lead and complete Six Sigma projects that result in process efficiencies targeting world-class productivity, quality and service.   Manages the vendor compliance program to assure shipping, vendor compliance database work, receiving and all associated activities are performed efficiently and accurately.  Coordinates training and standard operating procedures for all employees regarding vendor compliance.   Serves as quality liaison with Marketing, Materials, Traffic, inbound/outbound, other locations and suppliers, assuring compliance issues are followed through to resolution. Actively pursue changes to location sizes and velocities to enhance pick path, mentor Picking or Receiving Supervisor to lead effort. Manages the inventory control activities to include shipping error research and resolution, Not-In-Stock research, dealer returns, dealer credit requests, process audits, cycle count and inventory adjustments.  Examine and continuously improve the cycle count process, dealer surveys and audit programs. Participate in division initiatives by representing the facility at offsite projects/events, act as business lead for IT Projects and perform dealer visits independently.  Regular communication with Aftermarket Packaging Manager, Operations Quality Manager and Analytics Manager to share ideas and support a culture of continuous improvement. Provide coverage for Warehouse Supervisors when needed, proficient in at least one department (receiving, picking, shipping).  Assist in training new associates.   Perform other duties as requested by Distribution Center Manager. 

 

Qualifications and Skills
Required:

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration or related area required, master's degree desired. Six Sigma Belt certification (Lean, Green or Black)

Thorough knowledge of DC operations, practices and procedures acquired by 3-5 years experience in a progressive, complex distribution center, with inventory control administrative and supervisory duties. Ability to use AS400 and LAN systems experience required. Intermediate abilities in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, MSWord. Flexibility to work different and varied work schedules, up to 15% travel each year. Bi-lingual is a plus.

Salary Range:
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $91,885 - $118,910 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
