We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager within our Specialty Foam team to help support our Bedding business. As a CI Manager, you will have the opportunity to drive teams across the Specialty Foam business using quality, lean, six sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by saving costs, eliminating waste, improving customer satisfaction, reducing product defects, and increasing market share. The team you will be working with is action-oriented and values a continuous improvement mindset and culture at all levels of the organization. This is a remote role, and the ideal candidate should be located in or around Conover, North Carolina, Fort Smith, Arkansas, or Newnan, Georgia.
So, what will you be doing as a CI Manager?
Develop CI program and initiatives to meet customer, company and department goals and objectives. Utilize CI program and tools to drive continuous improvement mindset and culture at all levels of the organization. Manage company-wide CI ideation pipeline and roadmap. Facilitate development of and intense focus on KPI performance. Train, educate, develop, mentor branch management staff and front-line leaders to build organizational capability in lean manufacturing practices. Guide and direct manufacturing branch continuous improvement facilitators. Lead network-wide continuous improvement initiatives. Lead Problem Solving Efforts from root cause thru short and long-term countermeasure. Identify, implement, and standardize practices across network. Develop and lead routine network report outs on continuous improvement program performance. Up to 35% domestic travel.To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Bachelor's Degree (BS) in business administration, finance, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field 10+ years' experience with proven track record delivering measurable results driving cost reduction, productivity improvement, and quality enhancement. Action-oriented with a passion for Continuous Improvement. Excellent problem solving and resolution skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and process improvement. Experience managing P&L. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Things we consider a plus:
