Ketjen is hiring for a Continuous Improvement Manager. This position is hybrid and located in Houston, TX, USA at the Clear Lake offices.
What You Will Do
Ketjen CI project executionProvide guidance and support to CI project leads to ensure successful project completionKetjen improvement strategy and increasing portfolio impact, focused on efficiency gains in current workflows and work processesDeployment of aligned resource(s) to CI initiativesPartner with the QHSE director and peer QHSE leads for opportunity mining, resource prioritization, and overall Ketjen CI portfolio developmentTraining and mentoring of group members, QHSE peer resources, and the broader Ketjen organization to utilize CI tools and principles, including Lean Six Sigma.What You Bring
Required:
Bachelor's degree (or master’s degree) in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related technical/business field or the equivalent experience is requiredMinimum of five years' experience in Continuous Improvement project management which demonstrates growth in capabilities and responsibilitiesSix Sigma Black Belt certification and minimum 2 years direct full-time experience on completing multiple Six Sigma projects; proficiency in LEAN principlesA minimum of 10 years total experience in chemical or related manufacturing industryDemonstrated experience successfully coaching and mentoring indirect functional teams and other project team members.Preferred:
Project Management CertificationMinimum 2 years demonstrated successful experience working with global, cross-functional teams via influential leadershipExperience implementing projects with technical components requiredPrevious experience in managing multiple concurrent projects & programs in an agile approachDirect people leadership experienceBenefits of Joining Albemarle
