Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to drive a culture of operational excellence by leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This role focuses on eliminating waste, increasing efficiency, and sustaining a high-performing, organized work environment. The CI Manager will lead Lean, Kaizen, and 6S initiatives, train employees in CI methodologies, and ensure alignment with long-term business goals.The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion NEMA Motors division in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tIdentifying and working to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives and overseeing cases of conflicting priorities.•\tPromoting and leading improvement programs and projects within your own area of responsibility, with a hands-on (Gemba) and problem-solving approach.•\tLeading a systematic fact-based approach to identify and evaluate opportunities for future improvement within the local organization.•\tProviding guidance and supporting towards disseminating a continuous improvement mindset and culture at all levels, activities, and functions to promote behavioral change for continuous performance improvement at local level.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or a related leadership role. Top candidates will have a demonstrated history of driving a successful Lean Culture Transformation.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.Experience in facilitating Kaizen events, leading 6S programs, and managing VSM updates.Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and change management.Stamping experience a plusCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
