Continuous Improvement Project Manager, Packaging & Labeling

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Continuous Improvement Project Manager, Packaging & Labeling you will be responsible for:

Leveraging your medical device labeling and packaging experience, drive and manage labeling and packaging key initiatives and projects. Facilitating the process for continuous improvement projects, managing dashboards, metrics and communication process for product related projects and process/technology related initiatives.Developing and maintaining both high level and detailed project plans, metrics and dashboards as well as any related budgets. Leveraging your ability to lead without direct reports, be an independent subject matter expert, knowledgeable resource, facilitator, and coach to the Packaging & Labeling organization.Influence, oversee and manage project teams supporting project deliverables without direct reporting lines.Understanding of technology and automation in labeling development and / or manufacturing packaging systems and equipmentProactively provide coaching to C&L team on tools, leveraging your expertise as a project manager and lean sigma to enable the structured process and delivery of all key project initiatives and ensure completionIdentifying critical path activities and work with various functions to eliminate road blocks throughout the project lifecycle.Partnering with business owners, ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities and keep business owners in the loop on progress, milestones, risks and any needed escalations.Gaining alignment and acceptance for ideas, plans and actions and implement across organizational boundariesLeading project team meetings to ensure successful completion of deliverables using standardized project tools and content management systems.Proactively providing ongoing progress updates to management team, cross-functional business partners and senior leadership on progress of projects.

Strong direct experience in packaging and product labeling and a good understanding of medical device landscape, including IFUs, User Manuals, package labeling, online printing and package engineering.Understanding of labeling and packaging regulations and the impact of these on processes systems and tools used for packaging and labelingDelivery of project milestones that support  process / technology and other initiatives across the Packaging & Labeling organization that improve quality, cost, delivery and compliance leveraging experience in the Life Sciences industry Working across and up an organization as well as cross functionally, managing and assigning tasks to project resources to ensure high quality, on-time completion of project deliverables. Deep experience in lean sigma and continuous improvement as well as expert project management and KPI skillsHave expertise in, and / or the ability and interest in developing a strong understanding of the PDP process and our product portfolioYou have strong software tools skills specifically related to project management (e.g. advanced experience in Excel, Project, Powerpoint, etc.)Are interested in not only driving your own projects but helping others to understand tools and systems to deliver on key improvement strategiesWillingness to share your knowledge and learn new things

Required skills to have for the success of this role

BA/BS in Life Sciences, Packaging and/ or Labeling, Project Management or related fieldMust have direct experience in packaging and / or  labeling in the medical device or pharmaceutical industriesBlack Belt or Master Black Belt in Lean Sigma preferred, not required (may be company specific version)Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, not required5-8 years + experience in life sciences industry, preferable working in the labeling area4+ years as project or program manager focused on continuous improvement, and/or large scale packaging or labeling programs Willing to travel 10% - 15%

The pay range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed.
