As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you would be supporting the business in constantly looking at ways to perform more efficiently. You would analyze processes and make recommendations, work with cross-functional teams to recognize opportunities and implement sustainable improvements. Copeland is seeking a highly competent continuous improvement professional who uses a variety of skills such as project design, leadership, and influence to ensure process development and improved outcomes. This person will be responsible for using Lean Six Sigma principles to drive improvement initiatives and operational excellence. This role would expand beyond manufacturing processes, working with project management and operations to make improvements across the organization. **As A Continuous Improvement Specialist – Industrial You Will:** + Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction + Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools + Teaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology + Working to continuously improve transactional and production processes by collaborating with multiple functions + Clearly defining program objectives and scope + Evaluating and prioritizing potential improvements based on gains and required effort + Securing employee commitment (ex: process managers) for proactive change management + Establishing a clear and well-articulated implementation plan + Establishing criteria for the project’s success and preparing a sound statement of constraints/limiting factors + Firm implementation of principles of governance + Resolving technical problems such as formulation, equipment, product, interpretation of regulations, and resource availability + Specifying deliverables and performance-measured outcome indicators + Identifying available resources (for example, people, material, and finances) + Accurately analyzing options including impact and feasibility + Identifying obstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvement + Regularly monitoring solution implementation to achieve expected benefits **Required Education, Education, and Skill Sets:** + Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience + Quality improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma + Experience with Kaizens, Root cause analysis, value Stream Mapping + Continuous Improvement Management certification + Ability to weigh and manage priorities, well organized and with ability to multitask + Strong work habits focusing on safety, quality and productivity + Proficiency in commonly used and specialized software + Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including advanced skills with Excel + Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, changing environments + Ability to travel 10% of the time **Preferred Education, Experience and Skill Sets:** + Master’s Degree, preferably an MBA. + Experience in Industrial Applications + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Project Management experience **Schedule** The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week.
