Internship Summary

Cannon Equipment is looking for an engaged and enthusiastic Intern to join our Summer 2025 paid internship program.  Interns are encouraged to think and act like entrepreneurs and are provided significant responsibility and autonomy to get things done. As an intern, you will gain substantial personal learning and career development opportunities through ownership of real-world job assignments, strong coaching and mentorship and networking with senior leaders across the organization. Over the course of this program, Interns will gain tangible, hands-on experience, and insight into the customer concept to production processes and methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:Process Analysis: Assist in analyzing current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.Data Collection: Gather and analyze data related to process performance, quality metrics, and operational efficiency.Project Support: Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects, including process redesigns, Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and other efficiency-enhancing activities.Documentation: Help in creating and maintaining documentation related to process changes, project progress, and improvement outcomes.Reporting: Assist in preparing reports and presentations on improvement activities, findings, and results for internal stakeholders.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their processes and challenges, and collaborate on solutions.Research: Conduct research on best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement methodologies and tools.Training: Support the training and development of staff on new processes and improvement techniques.

Qualifications:Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree Program with a focus in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.3.0+ GPAProficient in using software applications, especially Microsoft OfficeExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsCollaborates well in both one-on-one and teamwork settingsFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check as permitted or required by applicable law.

Certain peak periods may provide opportunity for overtime. This is a paid position. Internship will run for 10 weeks from June to August. Exact dates flexible.
