Position Purpose
This position provides proficient para-professional legal support in a competent and confidential manner primarily to the Legal Department, but also includes direct interaction with corporate executives, hospital administration and staff, physicians, board members, vendors, state agencies, outside attorneys and other organizations. The primary focus of this position will be managing independent provider contracts proactively, ensuring payment for provider services, and serving as MediTract contract lifecycle management tool administrator.
This position requires a tech-savvy individual who is passionate about process improvement and project management, with a high degree of independence, self-motivation, competency, efficiency, and professionalism, and is responsible for communications, which are often of a confidential nature.
Nature and Scope
Primary responsibilities of this position include:
Prepare, manage, renew, and monitor contracts for independent provider services, and prepare contract terminations as identified by Renown Leadership;
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws in relation to independent provider contracts, and identify, assess, and communicate risk to appropriate stakeholders;
Manage ongoing auditing and reporting systems/contract database to ensure independent provider contracts are renewed according to terms of agreements;
Communicate with finance monthly about changes to the financial impact of provider services;
Serve as MediTract Administrator by supporting all users with contract lifecycle management, including monitoring contract workflows to ensure compliance with organizational policies, enroll and onboard new MediTract users, generate reports for a variety of stakeholders, and serve as a liaison between MediTract Help Desk and Renown/Hometown users;
Onboard new departments into the MediTract contract lifecycle management tool and assist with designing and implementing best practices of contract lifecycle management;
Serve as MediTract TERMS administrator by onboarding independent providers and provider groups into MediTract TERMS module for tracking time in accordance to contract terms, generate reports for stakeholders, serve as liaison between MediTract Help Desk and Renown users;
Manage monthly timesheet review, invoicing, and submission of physician and contractual payments for independent provider services including communication to providers about payment, time keeping, and any issues;
Assist Compliance Department with Conflict of Interest process by maintaining record of non-employed physicians;
Organizing and monitoring projects belong to the Legal Department;
Assist in gathering documents in response to subpoenas or other legal requests;
In addition, this position requires critical thinking skills to independently interact with other operational departments and initiate or assist operational improvements required in order to comply with law or regulation and/or in order to improve interdepartmental operational efficiency.
Due to the wide diversity of responsibility and the need to interact and work with administrative staff, physicians, department managers and supervisors on a daily basis, superb organizational and communication skills are essential.

Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or related degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of physician contract management or similar experience required. Experience with contract lifecycle management tools required. Process improvement and project management experience preferred.
