About being our Contract Administrator \n
As our Contract Administrator, you will join the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) project team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design their next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.\n
As our Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for working in collaboration with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with all contractual terms and conditions and LAWA, City State and Federal requirements. These projects may include, but are not limited to: Airline Terminal Improvement projects, Airport Service Improvement projects, Terminal Development projects and Asset Renewal.\n

Responsibility Highlights for our Contract Administrator \n\nCollaborate with the Project Manager regarding disposition of contractual issues \nPrepare Contractual Correspondence \nFacilitate the meriting process of all potential change claims made by contractors, ensuring all appropriate subject matter experts have reviewed the claim \nAssemble Task Orders and Change Orders \nReview Concurrence Letters for conformance with contractual requirements \nCommunicate all changes to budget commitments to the cost engineering team to ensure accurate and up-to-date project job costing reporting \nMonitor insurance compliance \nEnsure proficiency and timeliness of contract administration for change documentation \nPrepare required reports and correspondence \nAttend various meetings, including pre-bid proposal and post-bid proposal debriefings \nAssist in the contract standardization process \nMonitor all aspects of contract compliance \nAssist in resolving problems and disagreements between contractors and LAWA \nReview contractor invoices for contractual compliance \nConduct closeout actions upon contract completion such as final audit, payment, etc. under the direction of LAWA personnel \nContribute to the advancement of PDG's goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders \n\n

Minimum Qualifications to be our Contract Administrator\n\nBachelor's degree in engineering or a business related field, as well as training in procurement, contract, construction and commercial law\n10+ years' experience in the administration of commercial\/government contracts \nExperience working in a construction office \nExperience in alternative project delivery methods including Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and Design Build preferred \nComfortable operating in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment \nMust be a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; and willing and capable to assume additional responsibilities \nDemonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance reviews, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous positions \nEffective oral and written communication skills \nMust be detail oriented and highly organized \n\n

Preferred Qualifications to be our Contract Administrator \n\nExperience with project management software \nCertifications may include PMP, PE, and\/or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certification. \n\n
