**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Contract Administrator** to join our team! In this role you will get to **oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from drafting and reviewing to execution and compliance management.**
This role ensures that contracts align with legal standards, organizational objectives, and performance expectations. The Contract Administrator will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of contracts while minimizing risks and ensuring compliance.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
**Contract Drafting and Review:**
+ Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, ensuring that terms are clear, fair, and aligned with organizational goals.
+ Review existing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
+ Draft amendments, renewals, and modifications to contracts as necessary.
**Contract Execution and Administration:**
+ Ensure all contracts are executed properly and stored in a centralized contract management system.
+ Monitor contract timelines, ensuring that deadlines and key milestones are met.
+ Maintain up-to-date records of all contracts, including contract initiation, amendments, and renewals.
**Contract Compliance and Risk Management:**
+ Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
+ Identify risks within contracts and work with relevant stakeholders to mitigate those risks.
+ Monitor ongoing contract performance, ensuring that all parties fulfill their obligations and mitigate any potential issues or breaches.
**Contract Monitoring and Reporting:**
+ Track contract performance and maintain up-to-date records of contract deliverables, performance metrics, and any issues.
+ Prepare regular reports for senior management on the status of contracts, highlighting any potential issues or compliance risks.
+ Liaise with relevant teams to ensure that contracts are executed on time and within budget.
**Dispute Resolution and Negotiation Support:**
+ Assist in resolving contract disputes by providing support to the legal team and offering recommendations for dispute resolution.
+ Work with external parties to address any issues or concerns regarding contract terms and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
+ Support negotiations on contract amendments and extensions as required.
**Collaboration with Internal Teams:**
+ Work closely with procurement, legal, finance, and project teams to ensure that contracts align with business objectives and project timelines.
+ Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract terms and obligations.
+ Assist project managers and department heads in understanding contractual obligations and ensuring compliance.
**Continuous Improvement:**
+ Review and recommend improvements to contract management processes, systems, and documentation to increase efficiency and reduce risks.
+ Stay informed on industry trends, contract management best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the organization’s contracts remain competitive and compliant.
**Vendor and Supplier Relations:**
+ Maintain positive relationships with external vendors and suppliers by ensuring contracts are clearly defined, managed, and executed effectively.
+ Serve as the point of contact for any contract-related inquiries from vendors, clients, and other external stakeholders.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, legal support, or procurement.
+ Proven experience in managing contract lifecycles from initiation through execution and close-out.
+ Strong knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and best practices.
+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
+ Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate contract terms clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve contract-related issues.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Professional certifications in contract management, procurement, or legal fields (e.g., CIPS, NCMA) are a plus..
+ Familiarity with contract management tools and software.
+ Ability to identify and manage risks within contracts.
+ Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and legal requirements (e.g., construction, IT, healthcare).
+ Experience working with vendors, clients, and suppliers to negotiate favorable contract terms.
