Job Description
The Cost Engineering Department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Integration Specialist to support the proof of concept and application development of integrating a 3rd party cost estimating software with the company's global processes and systems. The primary objective of this project is process automation and cost optimization for Direct Material Cost (DMC), vendor tooling, and part manufacturing carbon footprint. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enabling seamless integration and enhancing cost analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Part Cost Engineering team to understand the requirements and objectives of integrating the 3rd party cost estimating software.Conduct a thorough analysis of the company's existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and potential challenges in the integration process.Work closely with the software vendor to understand the capabilities and limitations of the cost estimating software.Develop and execute a proof of concept to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of integrating the software with the company's processes and systems.Customize and configure the software to align with the company's specific cost estimating needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ICT, to ensure seamless integration and data synchronization between the cost estimating software and other systems.Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the integration process.Develop and deliver training materials and documentation to enable end-users to effectively utilize the integrated software.Conduct regular testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the integrated cost estimating software.Follow established project timelines and deliverables to ensure project success.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience in cost engineering, cost estimation, or related roles.Familiarity with automotive component design and manufacturing processes.Proven experience in software integration, preferably in the field of cost estimating or engineering.Familiarity with 3rd party cost estimating software and its integration with existing systems is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and address integration challenges.Ability to work effectively in a global team, collaborating with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and software vendors.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.Familiarity with database management and SQL is a plus.Prior experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is desirable.
Additional InformationThis is a contract position for a duration of 3-month POC and 12-month execution. After the Cost Estimating Software Integration project is completed, the candidate will be assigned to another activity within the Methods & Tools team.
