Position Overview:

Beacon Hill's client in Downtown Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Contract Customer Operations Representative to join their team. This is a short-term position designed to support service levels during peak periods, with the possibility of extension or transition into other roles based on business needs. The role is primarily remote, with some in-office presence required on select days.

The pay rate is $20/hr, and the shift is from 8:00 am - 4:45 pm this is a 2-month contract opportunity with opportunity of extension.

Position Type:

Monday to Friday (No weekends)Hybrid work optionCandidates must reside within a 90-minute commute to St. Paul, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer inbound calls from customers and ensure they are promptly transferred to the correct department or representative.Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Use questioning techniques to identify the appropriate department or person for customer inquiries.Leverage internal resources (software applications, corporate directory) to route calls efficiently.Follow established procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in call handling.

Hybrid Work and Office Requirements:

This position is primarily remote but will require in-office presence for:

Technical disruptions (e.g., internet/electricity outages or laptop failure lasting more than 1 hour).Special events as determined by management.Other business needs that may require in-office support.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service skills and a desire to help others.Ability to manage high call volumes (approximately 75-90 calls per day).Clear verbal communication skills to maintain a professional and helpful tone with customers.Strong computer skills with the ability to multitask effectively.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow established procedures.Technical requirements: Must meet specific Wi-Fi bandwidth and other technology criteria for remote work, including a wired internet connection (NOT Wi-Fi).
