Contract Facilitator/Trainer

As a Classroom Facilitator, you’ll play a critical role in delivering leadership training programs designed to empower our employees with the skills they need for continued professional success and growth.

In this role, you will:

Facilitate in-person leadership development sessions that meet the needs of diverse adult learners and keep participants actively engaged.Collaborate closely with our People Development team and other facilitators, ensuring a cohesive approach that aligns with our company’s goals and leadership competencies.Embrace ambiguity by maintaining flexibility and agility in your facilitation style to adapt to different classroom dynamics.Cultivate an environment of continuous learning by encouraging program participants to explore, self-reflect, and build effective action plans that allow them to grow personally and professionally.

Position Details:

Assignment Duration: This is a 6–12-month temporary position, with potential for extension. The successful candidate will facilitate 6-10 training sessions (each lasting one week including travel) during this time period. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($90-$120 per hour or negotiated daily rate). Travel: Required for this role; expenses covered by the company.

Primary Responsibilities

Partner with the People Development team to:

§ Learn and deliver already-prepared content related to leadership effectiveness (e.g., emotional intelligence, change management, communication and feedback, people development, etc.)

§ Facilitate the delivery of classroom and virtual course content using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as role-plays, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and interactive lectures

§ Promote understanding and practical application to ensure learners achieve their objectives

§ Create a safe, supportive and engaging environment for participants, encouraging participation and cooperation

§ Help identify learning needs and gaps in the classroom and among participants

§ Adjust program content as needed to address any specific challenges, manage conflicts and resolve issues that may arise during discussions.

§ Ensure alignment with program objectives

§ Build a rapport and provide support to employees to enhance their learning experience and professional growth

§ Manage on-site logistics and organize in-house or offsite activities to ensure smooth execution of training events

§ Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of training content and delivery methods

§ Learn and internalize our company vision, story, and priorities to effectively weave these messages into the learning environment and build alignment with company goals

§ At least 5-7 years of experience creating, delivering, and facilitating both classroom and virtual training and development programs for adult learners

§ Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

§ Strong interpersonal communication skills

§ Ability to assess training needs and appropriate learning solutions

§ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and especially PowerPoint

§ Ability to engage people with authenticity, humor, and great listening skills

§ Good judgement, strong integrity, passion for coaching, ability to quickly adapt to change, and insatiable curiosity

§ Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical

Compensation: This role is eligible for an hourly rate of $90/hr to $120/hr, based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience.

Retirement: Temporary employees who work a minimum of 25 hours a week, are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match.
