We are currently advertising a position of a Contract Field Instruction Coordinator.Brief DescriptionApplications are invited from suitably qualified candidates meeting the following:
Field Instruction Coordinator qualifications and requirements:Minimum requirements:-MA in social work or related field, a bachelor s degree in social work, is a requirement. -Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions.-Knowledge and experience of Field Instruction programme at 2nd year level. -Assessment experience in Field Instruction at 2nd year level.-Demonstration of experience in academic administration would be to the candidate s advantage.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be required to:-To develop or update a skills manual for the undergraduate field instruction programme-To facilitate skills training workshops for undergraduate -To facilitate tutorials for the field instruction programme-To conduct field instruction assessments for the undergraduate course -Conduct academic administration and other duties, as determined by the Head of Department.-Participate in the Department's strategic initiatives related to field instruction, and community engagement.-Facilitate in negotiating for placements and the actual placement of students -Be the liaison person between the university and the placement organisations.
Remuneration: In accordance with qualifications and experience, and inline with the university pay scale. Commencement date: The successful candidate will be required to commence on the 1 September 2024
