Contract HR Business Partner/HR Manager
Location: Hybrid (Onsite 1 day/week in Norwood, MA)
Our client, an IT consultancy in Norwood, MA, is looking to bring on a Contract HR Business Partner/HR Manager for a 6-month assignment. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of HR experience, particularly in handling compliance, employee relations, benefits and leave management, and strategic HR partnership.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations issues, offering guidance and support on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.Ensure benefit elections for new hires and qualifying life events are processed in a timely and compliant manner.Track leave of absences and support leave administration internally and with external vendor(s), including state leaves.Enforce existing HR processes, policies, and practices while keeping an eye to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Support managers in HR decision-making by providing timely advice and expertise.Ensure employee data in HR systems is accurate and up to date.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive HR experience.Proven experience in navigating complex employee relations issues, investigations, and compliance with labor laws.Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance regulations at federal, state, and local levels.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust with employees and leadership at all levels.HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent) is preferred, but not required.
