This is a long-term, full-time Contract Manager position for a public sector client. The right candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills and be comfortable presenting. The candidate must also be able to work well in cross-functional teams, with clients and vendors alike.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of IT professional service SOW’s and contracts, and IT outsourcing service agreements. General knowledge and understanding of contract structure and general contracting practices is necessary
• Previous hands-on corporate experience assisting corporate Legal representatives writing, proofreading, and editing MSAs, SOWs, and Change Orders. In addition, experience with writing/editing the business language (i.e. non-legal language) in MSA’s, SOW’s and Change Orders.
• Understanding of IT tools and applications used for Service Desk, Managed Infrastructure and/or Managed Cloud Services, CyberSecurity Support Services, End User Services (provisioning of hardware and software to End Users), and User Access Management
• Experience organizing and managing lists of interdependent activities, and working continuously with multiple stakeholders to ensure activities are completed on time and at the required quality level
• Experience interacting with cross-functional teams (internal team members, clients, and vendors)
• Experience with Contract Change Management processes, and proficiency managing activities to comply with Change Management processes to successfully complete change orders
• Ability to create, update and manage a list of compliance activities that must be performed on a periodic basis (eg. weekly, monthly, annually)
• Ability to manage your normal work tasks without needing to be reminded, providing status reporting proactively without needing to be asked.
• Willingness to work onsite regularly (i.e 3 days per week) at the customer office location or the CGI office location in downtown Toronto.
• Availability for consultation with the customer Contract Manager during business hours, and occasionally outside of normal business hours for urgent/emergency circumstances
• Contract Management:
o Act as the first-line for clarifications and questions about the existing contract and/or resolution of disputes between the parties regarding the performance or non-performance of their obligations under this Agreement
o Oversee the entire contract Change Order lifecycle, from negotiation to execution, with input and assistance from Subject Matter Experts, Management and Corporate Legal.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents
• Compliance and Performance Monitoring: Works with CGI personnel on implementation, management and enforcement of the Agreement, including overall management of performance
• Reporting: Runs on-going workshops and meetings for CGI compliance deliverables verifications, ongoing cost savings and governance reviews
• Collaborate: with client counterpart, CGI peers and third parties
• Governance:
o Support development of governance materials
o Working with the client to establish cadence for governance including agendas
• Account Management:
o Support in identifying and executing on process improvements to benefit management of the account
o Overall awareness on the status of: invoicing, projects, funnel, challenges, risks/issues, etc to support Account Executive
