Contract Manager - Housing (Expressions of Interest)

In support of future growth initiatives, expressions of interest are sought for a Contract Manager (CM) to join our team. You will manage the delivery of services and contractual obligations in accordance with safety, commercial, people, legal and other requirements, including relevant policies and procedures, supporting Property Maintenance Services across Public Housing in Victoria.

 

The CM has full accountability for the achievement of internal and contractual KPIs around safety, timelines, quality, compliance, governance, communication, and profitability is delivered in accordance with annual budget & stretch target expectations, as well as the aim of consolidating and providing opportunities within the current contract. 

 

The CM is further responsible for providing solid leadership, customer and stakeholder management, developing their contract team, building growth, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the contract.

 

What you’ll do

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

P&L and Risk Management: Ensures safe and sustainable delivery of P&L commitments, escalating potential issues to senior management proactively. Contract Performance Monitoring: Regularly tracks compliance with contract standards and KPIs, ensuring services meet contractual terms. Contract and Subcontractor Management: Develops and manages a contract plan, actively overseeing subcontractor performance to meet objectives. Customer Relationship Management: Leads primary customer account management and collaborates closely with customers and key stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships. Understands customer needs, and implements strategies to meet expectations, while identifying new business opportunities and promoting services. Team Leadership & Development: Motivates, inspires, and leads the team to ensure engagement, performance, and alignment with contract goals, while providing training, development, and succession planning. Operational Excellence & Safety: Ensures compliance with health, safety, and company standards, fostering a safe work environment and driving efficient contract management within budget and regulatory guidelines – underpinned by strong demonstrated governance management capability. Financial & Performance Management: Actively manages revenue, costs, and financial performance, preparing reports, and implementing strategies to maximise returns and operational efficiency.

 

What you’ll bring

Degree level qualification in Project Management, Property Management, Facility Management, Construction or relevant.  A Victorian Domestic Builder (Unlimited) License registered with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) as a building practitioner.  Proven experience maintaining good governance controls to ensure efficient and effective business operations. Extensive management level experience with proven people leadership skills. Facilities/Residential Management experience desirable but not essential. Proven fiscal skills and an ability to both manage costs and drive improved productivity.
